About us
LightSprint (YC P26) is the collaborative product-development platform for the AI era. Think of the code-aware task board, the cloud coding agents, and the per-task preview environment as one system: every task on the board is a real agent session with its own environment, preview URL, and context.
AI made software engineering dramatically faster, and so the software design lifecycle, used in teams, is due an update. We believe human collaboration is here to stay: for taste, for ownership, for the simple fact that great products aren’t made alone.
The role
This is our founding product marketing hire. You’ll help define how LightSprint talks about the product, the category, and the new ways product and engineering teams can work together with coding agents.
You’ll work closely with the founders, product, customers, and the rest of the team to turn what we’re learning into clear positioning, launches, stories, and programs that help the right teams understand why LightSprint matters. This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop the strategy, write the words, ship the campaign, and learn from the result.
What you’ll do
- Own positioning and messaging. Turn a technical, fast-moving product into a clear story for product leaders, engineers, and the people who work between them.
- Lead product launches. Build the narrative, content, distribution plan, and internal enablement for launches, then measure what resonates.
- Get close to customers. Join conversations, study how teams use the product, and turn their language, objections, and outcomes into sharper marketing.
- Create sales and customer materials. Develop pages, decks, demos, case studies, and other assets that make the product easier to understand and adopt.
- Shape the category. Help explain how collaborative product development changes when coding agents become part of the team.
- Build the function. Establish the systems, feedback loops, and standards that future product marketing teammates will inherit.
Requirements
- You’ve marketed a technical B2B product and can make complex ideas feel concrete without flattening what makes them important.
- You have strong product instincts and can quickly understand workflows, users, competitors, and the technical details behind the story.
- You’re an exceptional writer and editor. You can move between a concise headline, a detailed launch narrative, and a practical sales asset.
- You’re comfortable working from ambiguity, forming a point of view, and shipping without waiting for a complete brief.
- You work well with founders, product teams, engineers, sales, and customers, and you know how to turn competing inputs into clear decisions.
- You care about outcomes. You test messages, study performance, and revise the work based on what people actually do.
Nice-to-have
- Experience marketing developer tools, AI products, infrastructure, collaboration software, or other products with technical buyers.
- Experience as the first or early product marketer at a startup.
- Familiarity with coding agents and the emerging AI software-development landscape.
- Experience conducting customer research and turning it into positioning, segmentation, and go-to-market decisions.
- A portfolio of launches, category narratives, or content that changed how a market understood a product.
